Manuscript Structure and Guidelines
- Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
- Provide two files:
- Manuscript with Author Details — full author names, affiliations, ORCID IDs, funding, and conflict declarations included in the manuscript file.
- Blinded manuscript — no author identifying information in the manuscript file.
- Title (≤ 15 words)
- Structured Abstract (150–250 words) with sub-headings: Purpose, Design/Methodology, Findings, Implications, Originality
- Keywords (4–6)
- Main Text — Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Implications
- Acknowledgements (optional)
- References — APA 7th edition
- Appendices / Supplementary data (if any)
Formatting
- 12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced, A4 size.
- Page numbers bottom-right.
- Figures and tables numbered sequentially with captions and should be embedded within text of the manuscript.
- Submit in MS Word (.docx) format only.
Authorship and Contributions
- Follow CRediT taxonomy (e.g., Conceptualisation, Data Curation, Writing – Original Draft, Supervision).
- Each author must have an ORCID ID.
- The corresponding author certifies approval by all co-authors.
Ethical and Legal Requirements
- Research involving humans must include ethics-committee approval and participant consent statement.
- Datasets must respect privacy and confidentiality standards.
- Authors retain copyright but grant JGSBS a non-exclusive licence to publish under CC BY 4.0.
Similarity and Integrity Check
All manuscripts are screened through iThenticate/Turnitin.
Use of AI Tools
Generative AI may assist in language editing but cannot be listed as an author. Authors must disclose any use of AI in a footnote and remain responsible for the accuracy of content.
Data and Transparency
Authors should deposit datasets, code, and materials in trusted repositories or provide access upon request. A Data Availability Statement must appear at the end of the article.
