Expectations

Reviewers uphold scholarly integrity by offering constructive, unbiased, and timely feedback. Reports should help authors improve clarity, methodology, and contribution.

Review Form Criteria

  1. Originality and contribution to knowledge
  2. Theoretical grounding and literature integration
  3. Research design and methodological rigour
  4. Validity of results and interpretation
  5. Clarity and coherence of argument
  6. Relevance to the aims and scope of JGSBS
  7. Overall recommendation (Accept / Minor Rev / Major Rev / Reject)

Ethics for Reviewers

  • Maintain confidentiality; do not share or cite manuscript content.
  • Declare conflicts of interest.
  • Do not use ideas or data from manuscripts before publication.
  • Avoid bias based on gender, nationality, or institutional affiliation.

Recognition

Reviewers receive acknowledgment certificates annually and optional ORCID/Publons credit.
